Welcome to the Pebworth and District Oil Buying Club.  We are based in Pebworth, Worcestershire.  My name is Ken Wood and I am the founder and manager of the club.

We are the longest running Oil Buying Club in the country having started over 15 years ago as a small group of oil users in Pebworth village.  Since then we have grown to over 250 members drawn from communites in villages in Worcestershire and Warwickshire.

We place orders almost every month, just missing a couple in the summer when demand for oil is lower.  As a club we try to ensure everyone in the villages we cover benefits from the discounts we achieve, we take particular care to support the elderly and less able members of our community.

The club is free to it’s members and we pass on all of the savings we achieve, there is no joing fee or subsequent member charges.  All we ask in return is that you support the club by placing your orders through it.  Like any community scheme it works best if everyone joins in.

Oil heating is about the most expensive way to heat a home; most people in rural areas are left without a viable alternative.  As a club we are a member of a new organistaion set up to act as a voice for rural oil buying groups across the country.  The Oil Buying Group Association aims to highlight the issues facing rural homes that have to rely on oil for heating.
