CHEAPER HEATING OIL FOR FAMILIES ON SALISBURY PLAIN
For the last 15 years, the Nadder Oil Buying Club has been providing its members with lower prices for their heating oil. Its success has led to an active membership of 1350 as at October 2026 and the purchase of 1.5M litres per year in the South Wiltshire area. All communications are done by email.
After signing up on www.nadder.oilbuyingclub.com fortnightly invitations to order are emailed to members, who can either place an order or, if no oil is needed, opt out of the reminders. After ten days or so of order collections, the most competitive supplier is selected and a confirming email is then sent to those who have ordered stating the supplier and the price per litre.
There is no cost to join, no obligation to use the service and if you find you can buy better just email me and I will cancel your order.
Payment is required by the supplier within seven days of delivery, or if the member is not known to the supplier, the early orders may require payment before delivery, which takes place in the following ten days or quicker if marked urgent.
The suppliers benefit from more economical deliveries in tighter delivery routes. Members benefit from cheaper prices and fewer tankers on the road. The price quoted is the price you pay the supplier, with no additional charges.
